Dogs are one of the most lovable animals you can keep in your home. When you decide to bring a dog into your home, you must take measures to maintain their health; in addition to providing healthy dog food and essential supplies, vaccination is one of the most important criteria. Dog vaccinations help strengthen their bodies and prevent serious diseases. The vaccines injected into your dog’s body contain antigens that transmit a weak illness to the dog’s body; as a result, these antigens stimulate the body’s immune system and make the dog’s body resistant to that disease.
Dogs, like other living creatures, may have various diseases, and to prevent them from occurring in your pet’s body, you must follow the dog’s vaccination schedule carefully. Some disorders are more common in dogs, so vaccination for these diseases is essential.
Vaccines are usually injected more than once, and during several stages, they will increase the body’s security against different viruses. The first injection of rabies virus should be given between 12 and 16 weeks of age, followed by subsequent doses at various intervals, depending on the veterinarian’s opinion. Other available vaccines are usually injected from 6 to 8 weeks, and the subsequent doses are given at 9 to 11 weeks or 12 to 16 weeks.
